In Stage 5 of the P=ENTS community builder's journey, known as Alliance, a community builder becomes formally allied to the P=ENTS methodology and contributes to its growth and impact.
To progress to the Alliance stage, individuals must have demonstrated a high level of expertise and understanding of the P=ENTS methodology. While the previous stages focus on acquiring knowledge, building practical experience and refining skills, Alliance emphasises the ability to collaborate, share knowledge and contribute to the advancement of the community.
This stage encompasses three different roles within the P=ENTS community:
ENT - a community member who has completed Stages 1-4 of the P=ENTS methodology.
TEN - a world renowned expert in any of the 4 pillars of the P=ENTS methodology or a subject that is central to a community where P=ENTS is being implemented.
NET - an advocate who raises awareness of the P=ENTS methodology among communities in need of assistance.

During the Alliance stage, Allies become ENTS. They engage in the following activities and experiences:
Collaboration and Networking
Alliance emphasises the power of collaboration and networking among ENTs, TENs, and NETs. Individuals in this stage actively seek opportunities to connect with fellow community builders, subject matter experts and communities in need. They engage in collaborative projects, share insights and leverage their networks to amplify the impact of the P=ENTS methodology. Building strong alliances and partnerships becomes crucial in advancing community building efforts.
Mentorship and Guidance
Alliance fosters a culture of mentorship, where ENTs and TENs provide guidance and support to community builders in earlier stages of their development. They draw from their practical and theoretical expertise to mentor and guide others, helping them navigate challenges, refine strategies and grow as community builders. Mentorship plays a vital role in cultivating a supportive and knowledgeable community ecosystem.
Thought Leadership and Advocacy
ENTs, TENs and NETs in the Alliance stage take on a thought leadership role within the P=ENTS community. They actively advocate for the P=ENTS methodology, sharing success stories, case studies and examples of best practice. Through thought leadership, they inspire others and create a ripple effect, encouraging the adoption of the P=ENTS methodology in diverse communities. They may contribute articles, deliver presentations and participate in conferences and events to raise awareness and promote the value of the methodology.
Continuous Learning and Research
Alliance involves a commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of community building practices. ENTs, TENs and NETs engage in ongoing research, exploring emerging trends, technologies and methodologies relevant to community building. They invest time in deepening their knowledge and expanding their skill set to remain adaptable and innovative in their approaches. Continuous learning ensures they stay current and can provide valuable insights and guidance to the community.
Recognition and Influence
Individuals in the Alliance stage gain recognition for their contributions and expertise within the P=ENTS community. Their opinions and insights carry weight, and they can influence the future direction of the methodology. As trusted authorities, they actively contribute to the refinement and improvement of the P=ENTS principles, sharing feedback, proposing enhancements and collaborating with others to shape the methodology's evolution. Their influence extends beyond individual communities, impacting the wider P=ENTS ecosystem.
Amplifying Impact and Creating Lasting Change
Alliance represents a stage where community builders have the potential to create a lasting impact and drive significant change. ENTs, TENs and NETs work together to address societal challenges, empower communities and foster positive transformations. They leverage their expertise, networks and resources to tackle complex issues and build sustainable communities. The focus gradually shifts from personal growth to uplifting others, creating a legacy that extends beyond their individual efforts.
By the end of the Alliance stage, individuals have solidified their commitment to the P=ENTS methodology and have become influential allies in the community building space. Their expertise, collaborative mindset and dedication to making a difference position them to advance to the next stage, Service, where they devote more of their time and attention to other community members, focusing on embodying the selflessness required to be true leaders.
